Chamber of Shadows

CHAMBER OF SHADOWS
This fall (September) we will premier the re-imagining of our Chamber Theatre. Mystique's Chamber of Shadows will open after 3 years of research, development and design. Inspired by our start-up concept that was our genesis 11 years ago we have created the most state-of-the-art, elegant, amazing and intimate entertainment concept in the World.
Our new venue seats a maximum of 16 people at any given performance. Guests are announced as seated and enter into a labrynth of worldly oddities and antiquities. Dominating the Gothic architecture is the elaborately incorporated pipe organ that is sounded by the unseen forces of what many consider supernatural - definitely not natural.
An award winning seven course dinner is served by two white gloved butlers and your every need is tended to by the Manor's Hostess. Each guest has a choice of Fillet Minion, Cornish Hen, Broiled Halibut or a Vegetarian entree. Courses are presented exquisitely prepared, beneath silver plated cloches.
As desert is cleared tales of the undead are whispered from the walls and guests are enveloped in an evening of magic, mystery and mayhem as the Master of the Manor shares both fact and folley of forces unseen.
Mystique's Chamber of Shadows incorporates world class illusions and magic with state-of-the art interactive animatronics, newly discovered hollographic technologies, 34 channel Bose digital surround sound audio in a time lapse environment with fabulous food and theatrical production value. You will laugh, scream and thoroughly be astonished at what we have created for you.

Terry Ray Commons has been a professional magician for over twenty years. He fell in love with magic at the age of eight when a traveling magician came through his hometown of Rupert, Idaho. For years Commons studied and practiced his magic skills performing at public and private events. He has performed traveling shows for years. The Texas Association of Magicians (one of the oldest, professional associations in the world) awarded Commons the Stage Magician of the Year in 1989. In 1990, The Pacific Coast Association of Magicians invited him to compete as one of the best new acts of the year.
In 1997 Commons met his wife (who is an elementary school teacher) and opened Mystique a Magic Themed Chamber Theater in Pocatello, Idaho. Melanie researches and writes the stories which are included in the themed shows. Some of the shows they have produced include: Ghost Stories, Atribute to Edgar Allen Poe, From a Whisper to a Scream, Fallen Soldiers-Broken Hearts-A Civil War Tribute, Christmas Through a Child's Eyes, A Dickens of a Christmas, Spirits of the Season, In a Pirate's Wake, Manifestations in the Dark, and Hauntings.
In May 2001 the Commons' expanded Mystique by building a 10,000 square foot full-service dinner theater in Pocatello. Included in the facility is the new "Chamber of Shadows," opening in September of 2008. It's an intimate chamber theater seating 16 people, and serving a seven course meal, with interactive magic, illusions of grand scale (that you may never forget in your life,) and the state-of-art technology only available after June, 2008 to magicians and theaters. In addition to the chamber a more traditional grand hall theater seating 300 provides a venue featuring magic, music, and other performing arts.
